The Embassy of India, Caracas and the Governor's Office of the Bolivarian State of Miranda, organized a memorable joint International Day of Yoga event at the Jose Joaquin Papa Carrillo Gymnasium, Caracas on Saturday 22nd June 2024. The third Curtain Raiser for the upcoming International Day of Yoga was organized on Saturday,15 June, 2024 in collaboration with Universidad Central de Venezuela (UCV), Caracas with the enthusiastic participation of more than 250 Yoga practitioners belonging to different Yoga schools of Venezuela.

Ambassador met with Mr. Orlando Camacho, National President, Ms. Marie Jane Costa, Second Vice President, Mr Rafael Sarcina, VP Finance and Executive Directors, Mr Mikel Chivite, Mr Alcides Cayama, Ms Xiomara Hoyos, Mr Ruben Diaz and Ms Erizays Brito from FedeIndustria Chamber and discussed various avenues of cooperation between the two countries in trade and commerce.

The Ambassador of India, Mr. P.K. Ashokbabu, held a meeting with the Sectoral Vice President for Social and Territorial Socialism and Minister of People's Power for Youth and Sports, Mr. Mervin Maldonado. They discussed matters of joint cooperation in the field of sports.
The first Curtain Raiser event for the International Day of Yoga, 2024 was organized by Embassy of India, Caracas at the Universidad Central de Venezuela (UCV), Caracas. It was attended by Yoga enthusiasts of all age groups.
