Celebration of the 74th Independence Day of India

     The Mission celebrated the 74th Independence Day of India at the Embassy Residence in a very restrained manner, with only 13 India Based and 2 Local staff in attendance. The National Flag was unfurled by the Ambassador at 10:00 am. After the national anthem was played, Ambassador read out excerpts of Hon. Rashtrapatiji's address to the nation on the eve of the Independence Day. Two tree saplings were planted at the premises by Ambassador, his spouse and senior officers of the Mission. Thereafter Indian refreshments were served to the attendees. The event concluded with a group photograph. During the event, all Covid-19 SOPs were strictly adhered to.
