Celebracion del Dia de la Unidad Nacional de la India 2018 en Venezuela

 

 

1.   Embassy of India, Caracas celebrated the “National Unity Day” on birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on 31st October 2018 at Vallabhbhai India Venezuela Association (VIVA), El Hatillo, Venezuela. Screening of a documentary on life of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and a small exhibition of his rare photographs were organized. 


 2.  Director of VIVA Center Ms. Daniela Acquatella thanked the Embassy of India, Caracas for their ongoing support for the centre. Second Secretary for Commerce and Culture, highlighted in his adressed the role played by the Iron Man of India as First Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister of India in uniting the nation. He also briefed the participants about the tallest statue of the world, Statue of Unity inaugurated by Hon. Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi in Gujarat, India on this day. 

 3.  Indian nationals, people of Indian origin and friends of India attended the event. Light Indian refreshments were served at the end.
