Photographic Exhibition on The Inspiring Life of Mahatma Gandhi

PHOTOGRAPHIC EXHIBITION ON “THE INSPIRING LIFE OF MAHATMA GANDHI”

            The Municipality of Santos Marquina and the Mario Briceño Iragorry Foundation organised the photographic exhibition “The Inspiring Life of Mahatma Gandhi” at Tabay, Mérida on 29th February 2020 with the support of Embassy of India, Caracas.
2.         The Mayor of The Municipality of Santos Marquina, Mr Balmore Otalora, welcomed the gathering and encouraged participants to follow Mahatma Gandhi's example to become leaders in their community by promoting peace and non-violence. He expressed his wish to strengthen the relations between the Municipality and the Embassy of India. Cd'A thanked the Mayor, the office bearers of the Municipality of Santos Marquina and the President of Mario Briceño Iragorry Foundation for organising the exhibition on Mahatma Gandhi in their Municipality. He informed the people about Mahatma Gandhi's life and thoughts and requested them to spread this knowledge amongst their families and peers.
3.         The Councillor of the Municipality of Santos Marquina, Mr. Jean Carlos Lara, spoke about the importance of cultural exchange between India and Venezuela and also mentioned some aspects of Mahatma Gandhi's extraordinary teachings. Mr Joel Cuevas, President of the Mario Briceño Iragorry Foundation commended the support of the Embassy of India for organising the event and said that he looked forward to have more activities together.
4.         Cd'A presented a DVD and Pen Drive containing collective works of Mahatma Gandhi to the Mayor. The rare photographs of Mahatma Gandhi that would be on display until March 29, 2020, enthralled around 200 present.
