OFFER OF SCHOLARSHIPS BY THE GOVERNMENT OF INDIA TO VENEZUELAN CITIZENS

The Government of India has decided to offer 04 full scholarships to Venezuelan citizens for higher studies in India from the academic year 2016-17. The scholarships, which would be covered under General Cultural Scholarship Scheme (GCSS) of Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) would also available for the academic year 2018-19, would be for pursuing Under Graduation, Post Graduation, M.Phil and PhD in Indian Universities.

All expenses (except airfare) of the selected students for higher studies in India such as tuition fees, boarding and lodging, medical charges, contingency allowance etc. would be borne by the Indian side.

ICCR has started an online portal 'Admission 2 Alumni (A2A)' from this year, where applicants first need to apply online along with supportive documents. After submission of online application, applicants must send printout of the application along with supportive documents and necessary photos mentioned in the guidelines at the Embassy. The list of universities offering courses under GCSS is available at the following link: http://iccr.gov.in/sites/default/files/List%20of%20Universites%20for%20Website_1.pdf. Medical studies are not covered under the Scheme.

Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) in their school leaving examination is a mandatory requirement for applying for Bachelor of Engineering (BE) and Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) courses.

Applicant must be 18 years old at the time of admission for ICCR's scholarship.

The ICCR has decided to compulsory for all ICCR sponsored to stay inside the hostel.

Last date for submission of application is: 21st February 2018.
