It has been noticed that some foreigners are carrying satellite phones with them while coming to India on Tourist Visa. As per the existing guidelines of Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India, carrying satellite phones by foreigners into India is banned.

Use of Correct Website


It has been brought to the notice of Embassy that a number of fake visa websites are operating on the internet, claiming to provide e-Tourist Visa services to visa applicants desiring to travel to India. In the recent months, there has been an increasing number of complaints relating to frauds perpetrated by these websites. In order to mislead applicants, some of these websites have created images and home page templates mimicking the GoI websites for e-Tourist Visa applicants. A few of prominent ones are listed below:-
